I'm Baaack!

To my totally neglected blog: I have missed you. But take a look at who's been taking up all my time since November 10, 2011. That's right, my son Rowe will take the blame.

Newborn

Current (9 months)

We've had a lot of changes since I last blogged, besides becoming first-time parents. We also sold our house and moved in a new one! Right now, decorating, painting and unpacking are taking up my spare time. I'll post pics of some projects I'm working on soon. Yay! It's good to be back :)

Baby on Board

It has been a LONG time since I have posted! We have had quite a bit going on recently, not least of which I now find myself 6 months pregnant! As you can imagine I have been knee-deep in baby mania, from planning the nursery to picking a name.

I won't go bore you with all the details, but my next few posts will likely be about the projects I've been working on around the house. Making room for a baby is a challenge when you are working with limited square footage and non-existant closet space. It has taken some creativity (and a lot of boxes for the basement) but I'm happy with the progress we've made.

I wanted to share a picture of the sweet vintage bassinet I found while shopping in downtown Athens, Alabama. If you are ever in the area, Athens has some really cute and unique shops. If you like to pick through antiques and rare vintage finds, stop by the Clinton Street Cottage right off the square, where I scored this bassinet (for less than $30!). The quilted ivory fabric and the blue skirt were recently added to make it like new. I can't wait to put baby Rowe in it!

I'm Dreaming Of...

This Outfit!

I am so in love with high-waisted flared jeans and flowy tops. Goodbye 80s, hello my favorite style decade! If only that was me on the streets of NYC with those jeans and that clutch. A girl can dream.

Mr. & Mrs.

Kristen Steele Photography

This fabulous French inspired photo shoot is the work of my dear friend Jennifer Hamilton, who is the face behind Mr. & Mrs. Weddings and Events out of Nashville. For any of my Bride-to-Be friends, Jennifer does incredible work, as you can see. I must say this was one incredibly fun day, being that Jennifer asked me to be the stand-in bride for her first shoot. It goes without saying I had a blast (I mean just look at that linen dress!)

The shoot took place in downtown Franklin, at CJ's Off the Square. The amazing bridal gown was from The Bride Room in Green Hills. Photographer Kristen Steele took amazing pictures of all the wonderful details, from the pin cushions to the bow ties. Check out more of the shoot here. Also visit Mr. & Mrs. website and blog
